ladies are submissive. Such norms nurture a culture of abuse outright and perpetuate
the harmful notions of female sexuality and virginity. Drug and substance
abuses are other factors promoting violence against women in higher learning institutions.
Drinking and house parties create an atmosphere that increases the risk of
raping and non-consenting sexual activities.
Gender quality is one way university management, and other players can help curb women based violence in higher learning institutions. Universities can come up with programs that teach men that women are their equal counterpart with the ability to deliver. Equality can be achieved through the equal distribution of responsibilities and powers among students.
