As you consider the introductory chapter of the Hanson text, you should begin to piece together some of the foundational components of this course. One of the main questions we will be exploring is who or what are "the media"? What is the distinction between mass communication and mass media?  What do you think about the Seven Secrets? Find examples of the Seven Secrets from current events/news. Also, how does the Kale article from The Guardian relate to what Hanson tells us about media?
