Writing is something we all do—and for most of us, it is something we do on a daily basis in a variety of formats. In this course, we will learn how to understand the most important elements of the writing process, and we will learn how to use them to better engage with our audience and achieve our purpose. As we get started, however, let’s spend some time getting to know each other and thinking about the role that writing plays in our lives right now. Post a Primary Discussion Response by Friday introducing yourself to the class and discussing the role that writing plays in your life today. Feel free to consider the following elements as you craft your introduction: Your personal background, such as your family or pets, where you are from, and/or your hobbies Your professional background, your major, and your career interests The role that writing currently plays in your life Think about what you write in your personal life, at your job, and here at CTU, and share a bit about what kind of writing styles or formats are most common for you.
