Is Carrying a Gun in Public Wrong?
The
debate on the legality of owning and carrying a gun in the united states
remains a concern with many cases of mass shootings. Carrying a gun for some
people makes them feel more secure than when without. At the same time, guns
have been used in the united states for more than one hundred years ago, and
having a gun with you is a sign of conserving culture. There is a heated and
long debate on gun regulation in the united states, which until today is a
subject matter of discussion in our legislation houses. Some people advocate
for carrying guns in public, while others believe that carrying a gun in public
exposes people to risk. One can get frustrated and misuse their gun. The
abolitionists believe that guns may not be excluded from people, but the ammunition
capacity may be reduced for guns to the public. Carrying a gun in public is
not bad, and it is still legal.
Carrying
a gun in public can increase a sense of security for the inferior groups and,
most precisely, the elderly and women. There is always a looming danger and
threats from people towards women and the elderly, and a gun can be used to shy
of possible attackers. There is no need to be a victim of such circumstances.
It is better to be precautious. The cases rape, hijacking, robbery, among other
crimes related to violence, are on the rise, and a gun can provide personal
security. Personal security is one of the leading causes as to why people get
licenses to own a gun in the united states. Security begins with the simple
precaution; holding a gun even when you are not a good shooter.
