Reflection Paper on the Role of New Media in Education In lieu of a participation grade for the course, I want you to prepare a 2-page reflection paper on your experience using "new media" to learn this term. As we all know, this academic year is being conducted under the unprecedented circumstances of the global COVID-19 pandemic. And while this most certainly makes for a difficult and challenging environment for both teaching and learning, it does offer us all an opportunity to experiment, reflect and learn about the processes of teaching and learning itself – and especially about the role of online “new media” in these processes. This is why I am asking you to write a very short paper on your own learning experience this term and how “new media” technology facilitated it for better or for worse. Some questions to think about: • What did you learn from this experience? • What sort of challenges did it present? • What worked for you? Why did it work? • What didn’t work?
