Prompt: In 2,000-2,500 words, create a

Abstract
Post-secondary education has traditionally been emphasized in
the United States as the pathway to individual and economic success. Education
is essential in the process of achieving success, as such; the lack of proper
education may result in a person failing to be successful. According to Demeulemeester
and Diebolt (2011) having a good education lays a foundation for an
individual's success in life. Nonetheless, some quarters have refuted claims
that education precedes success in one's life hence questioning whether
individuals with a poor education background cannot end up successful. The
right set of skills has been fronted as factors that can lead to success even
without the attainment of post-secondary education. This
research proposal will use a descriptive design to explain the topical
phenomenon. To answer the research question, this research proposal will use
both primary and secondary data. To be effective in its conclusion this
research proposal will use data from a range of accredited sources such as
peer-reviewed journals, internet searches, books, magazines, complemented by
other academic sources. The identification of the target population will be
significant to the process of data collection with random sampling being used
to identify the specific sample from the target population.

Introduction
Post-secondary
education has traditionally been emphasized in the United States as the pathway
to individual and economic success. Post-secondary
education refers to any level of education that is pursued and attained after
the completion of high school studies. Education is essential in the process of
achieving success, as such; the lack of proper education may result in a person
failing to be successful. The government of the United States has invested
heavily in the education sector because an educated population thinks about
themselves and communicates intelligently. Nonetheless, some quarters have
refuted claims that education precedes success in one’s life hence questioning
whether individuals with a poor education background cannot end up successful. Abott
and Wallace (2014) explain that individuals with
the right skills and expertise even without an excellent educational experience
might be successful. The desire to achieve individual and economic success
remains as the most significant motivator behind the emphasis on the attainment
of post-secondary education.

Post-secondary education is deemed as an essential pathway to success in the life of an individual. This belief is supported by Demeulemeester and Diebolt (2011) who argue that having a good education lays a foundation for an individual's...
