Geroe, S. (2019). Addressing climate change through a low-cost, high-impact carbon tax. Journal of Environment & Development, 28(1), 3–27. DOI: 10.1177/1070496518821152

Geroe’s main point highlights how effective carbon tax measures can mitigate the risks of climate change. The author describes the usefulness of carbon tax in the reduction of emission of pollutants through using the revenues to compensate stakeholders and enact environment-friendly policies.

To strengthen his arguments, Geroe applies a historical context to explain the influence of environmental tax reform (ETR) on other taxes. Using the example of German eco-tax, the author describes how ETR maximizes the effectiveness of carbon taxes since it increases neutrality by reducing the impacts of taxes on households.

This journal supports the conclusions from other sources concerning how the reduction in carbon emissions minimizes climate change through the implementation of the high-impact carbon tax. The author believes that the revenue collected can be invested in techniques that reduce carbon production activities and provide incentives for advanced approaches of low-emissions.

The source answers the research question since the author recognizes that carbon tax as a solution to the dangers of climate change. Through a timely analysis, Geroe is confident that financial measures lead to minimal levels of carbon production as it provides incentives for low-emission technologies.

Lori, J. (2019). How employers can use employee benefits to address climate change. Employee Relations Law Journal, 44(4), 103-108.

The main point of this article underlines the role of employee benefits and remunerations in addressing the challenges of climate change. Lori offers a road map of how the corporate world can use workforce incentives to motivate and encourage positive environmental conduct among work teams.

Lori supports her claims using research conducted by the University of Vanderbilt, which investigates the impacts of workforce energy benefits on employee behavior. The study concludes that companies offer such packages to support their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives on environmental sustainability.

The findings of this journal relate to other sources as it identifies the issuance of employee energy benefits as one of the solutions that support low-emissions of carbon. It concludes that financial packages allow work teams to protect the environment outlook for the benefit of future generations.

Lori’s work answers the study question since it identifies how firms can use workforce energy benefits to reduce the level of carbon discharge. The author explains that through increasing employee engagement in energy, businesses improve their environment CSR schemes effectively.
