Family Therapy

In modern-day families, conflict is a common norm that creates a situation where people do not relate cohesively. Conflicts in a family can range from different angles, depending on the type of family in question. However, psychology has led to the development of therapy models that aid in combating any family issues. Then, this stage is followed by an interactional step that sees the family discuss the situation so the therapist can understand the family's divergence; such includes coalitions in the family and the communication series. The therapist sees the family through a goal-setting session to understand the issue at hand as the therapist comes up with ideas that can fix the issue. Finally, the therapist involves the family in the task setting stage by allocating concrete directive orders to change their behavior to resolve the problems (Nicholls et al.).

The therapist in this case study can use this model to help the family overcome the problem. It would enable the family to engage in a session...
