1.      Approaches to Strategy

The rational strategy has a benefit that allows managers to maintain the course of action to achieve strategic agendas. The rational approach reduces errors and instills objectivity in decision making. However, it has a downside in that it lacks flexibility if a business wants to change its course of action. On the other hand, the emergent strategy has one main advantage: it can solve future emerging business operation issues, leading to a well-established problem-solving pattern. However, the approach cannot be documented and applied at the beginning of a business operation. Finally, incremental approaches benefit businesses by solving problems associated with improving specific conditions in organizations' operations. However, the method cannot solve unforeseeable conditions that can impede business operations.
