World Trade Organization started in 1995 after the General Agreement on Tariffs
and Trade (GATT) ended. Today, WTO is known globally, with many countries
adopting the organization's recommendation to manage local and international
trade collaborations. WTO has 164 recognized members, with Afghanistan being
the newest entrant. Without a doubt, WTO, as we know it today, is highly
effective in regulating employment matters and controlling disputes among its member
states.
