Borderland is considered as the geographical boundary that separates the United States, Mexico, and the United States, Southwestern: these regions are believed to have different geopolitical policies and cultural orientation. However, the author uses the term “borderland” to figuratively indicate the diversity that exists between various interacting communities concerning psych-social uniqueness. Apparently, borderlands create barriers to integration and can raise significant contradiction if not well monitored.

Andalua’s essay is primarily concerned with social issues affecting the society in daily operations and interaction for the human beings. Such matters, according to Andalua, entails the feminism and social space. Apparently, the latter hinders the inclusiveness and fairness in the society
