Scenario You are a web manager for a software startup and are creating a new website to launch the company. In this project, you will create a full website mock-up complete with navigation, branding and content in a Wix.com website. In a PowerPoint, create a wireframe for the site. In a Word document you will identify the goals and objectives of the website, outline the basic layout of the site, identify what content management system (CMS) you will use and why, and evaluate of the pros and cons of the platform used to create the site. Additionally, you will include a critique of a microsite you included in the mock-up. Instructions This is a 3 part assignment it will require the following three things: a Word document, a PowerPoint presentation, and a Wix website. Let me know if you have any other questions. • Create a Word document that: o Identifies the goals and objectives of your website. o Outlines the basic layout of the site including what you incorporated from a usability and user experience perspective and the information architecture layout of the site. o Identifies what content management system (CMS) you will use to store website and mobile data, and why. Explain what other business software your website or mobile data would integrate with. o Provides a critique of a microsite you would consider including to support your website mockup. Why would you create a microsite as opposed to using a website? o Judge the positives and negatives of Wix.com. What did you like about it? What would you change and why? • Create a wireframe for the site in PowerPoint to provide an overview of the website’s information architecture. • Create and publish a 5-page website that contains the home page and subpages complete with navigation, branding and content in a Wix.com website.
