A
supply chain is a core activity in any business establishment. The quality of a
supply chain determines the level of customer satisfaction and the possibility
of achieving the business objective. A poor forming supply chain leads to
customer dissatisfaction resulting in ineffective cash flow. According to
Langley et al. (2020), a well-organized supply chain uses advanced technology
to improve customer services and reduce operational costs to boost the
company’s cash flow. Ordering information sharing and retrieval are faster and
more accurate when done through information technology software than when
shared through manual means. It is also easier to repack the stored products to
the customer desired sizes before delivering them. The repacking process is
simplified by automation and the use of machines to do the repacking roles.
Customers do not receive a surprise because information technology in the
supply chain permits sending notifications before the dispatch is done. This
paper explores how an efficient and effective supply chain can maximize
customer service, product fulfillment, and cash flow.

realized company and its customer through inbound and outbound materials
logistics. Supply chain management has subjected many companies to poor customer
services, minimum order fulfillment, and impaired cash flow.

dictates its ability to replenish its inventory quantities at the right

A good supply chain management is made efficient through the use of inventory management software to enhance the organization’s customer services by allowing the company to do a number of things: First, a faster and more accurate delivery of products and services than it can happen supplying manually. Electronic information is less prone to errors than making it more accurate to interpret the delivery of the requested orders.
