For this paper, you will replicate an exercise related to the Aileen Wuornos case that was first mentioned in Chapter 5 and then was repeated in Chapters 6-8. Instead of the Wuornos case, however, you'll conduct research and profile a different case of your choosing. The crime(s) committed can be from any of the crime typologies in Chapters 9-15. Instructions: 1. Choose what crime typology from Chapters 9-15 that you want to profile. 2. Find a case related to that crime in which there was enough publicity to provide detailed information about the crime itself as well as the perpetrator's personal history. 3. Choose a theory from the textbook that would explain why the perpetrator committed the crime. 4. Explain the theory as you understand it. 5. Apply the theory to the case.
