interaction has been constrained for a long time; even before the enlightenment
and civil rights era, people were struggling to co-exist. Some of the main
reasons for diversity and lack of tolerance among people are differences in
races, culture, and even political and economic ideologies. These broad
diversities lead to an increase in the conflict between people, with the
dominant group oppressing the minority group through denial of political
rights, denial of ownership of properties, segregation in the learning system,
discrimination in job opportunities as well as inequality in allocation of
public resources. Even after the end of the Civil war, African-American
experience has not been present despite the reconstruction amendment's
enactment between 1865 and 1870.
