The three barriers to achieving basic human needs are socioeconomic factors, knowledge, skill and experience. These barriers play a key role in determining how well human beings access their basic needs. When solved, each barrier creates an opportunity for people to engage in activities that can guarantee them income that can afford the basic necessities.

Solving these barriers is one of the most challenging tasks, mainly because one needs to be well-rounded to enjoy the state of well-being. For example, to combat the barrier of socioeconomic factors, one needs to get a job after completing a certain learning period. To combat the second limitation, knowledge requires an understanding of the market information to facilitate accurate decision-making. Besides, skills and experience are the substitutes of people's interaction with the environment and what they have learned from it.
