Abstract

            Social media platforms play a very crucial role in marketing campaigns by ensuring that companies are able to interact with loyal customers. In reality, despite being a well-established brand, McDonald had to adapt and adopt social media marketing so that to remain current in the market. In consequence, the marketing strategy adopted by McDonald is often regarded as basic across different quarters. However, while the company enjoys massive following across different social media platforms, it is apparent McDonald can exist even without the help of social media. Additionally, qualitative data utilized in the research consists of pictures and words. According to Christensen et al. (2001, pp. 66) qualitative study is vital when the research needs a holistic analysis of the research problem. For that reason, the qualitative data analysis was used to discover the underlying pattern that is important to penetrate the data and recognize the controlling variables. Thus, this resulted in the breakdown of data through reduction of results leading to the structuring of reduced data.
