INSTRUCTIONS:
The Rationale: The rationale is the scholarly thought to accompany your creative project. The rationale gives you a chance to organize your ideas, explain your methodology, and demonstrate your critical understanding of the text. You have two choices for the rationale: a written rationale or a presentation rationale. If you choose to complete a written rationale, you will need to write at least 500 words to justify your creative project. The rationale should be written in academic 1st person & MLA format. If you choose to complete a presentation rationale, you will need to give an in-class presentation. You may use academic 1st person, and you need to explain your methodology and critical approach to the text, just like you would in the written rationale. The presentation must be at least 4 minutes long and be the substantive equivalent of at least 500 words of writing. It is up to you whether you would prefer to write or present your rationale.
