President Woodrow
Wilson declared that United States of America should remain a neutral nation
during World War 1. He deterred Americans from concerning themselves with
events and alliances in Europe. The president adopted a neutrality policy to
maintain peace in America and the world (Microsoft Sway, n.d). Another Wilson’s
policy was that Americans should participate in the World War 1 to support
Britain. America kept its neutral policy until Germany blocked the movement of
goods between Britain and the United States. The USA decided to wage war
against Germany after German mines damaged US ships ending in Britain.
Peace in America is one of the consequences of the neutrality policy. By sustaining neutrality, the United States of America remained out of the war it was not prepared for.
