For this week, please just read the short story and the lecture notes that follow. “The Dead” is almost 16,000 words long, so you will have enough to read without having to read 2500-3000 words from me. I will lay out some of the background and give a few pointers as to what to look for while you read below. Please read those before you read the story. I am using this summer to experiment with different lecture notes styles, so if there is something you like or suggestions you may have, please let me know.
