Technological Advances and How They Impacted the Course of History

Technological development is growing at a fast rate and is impacting the facets of the economy across the globe. Advancement in technology has not enabled people to perform things faster, but also accuracy is enhanced. The invention and advancement of the internet and printing press have made it easier for people to share ideas across the globe while at different ideas, thus making historical data viable and easily accessible by both teacher and student.

The digital printing press innovation brought about civilization and made it possible for people to quickly and widely share knowledge across the world. German goldsmith Johannes Gutenberg invented the automated book printing press back in 1436 (Eisenstein, 1980). The printing press replaced Chinese woodblock printing and Korean bookmakers, which were slower and less accurate than Gutenberg's digital printing press. The advanced printing press made the printing process faster and more accurate than before (Andrews, 2012).
