You'll be composing essentially the informal outlines for two Rogerian-style responses.  The body of each response will be organized by headings; make sure to include the headings as highlighted in the template below.  You may use quotations from the texts, but they will not count toward the length requirements for your responses.  You are providing one response/outline for each text. Please include an MLA heading in your entry. Reiner Response Topic:  In one complete sentence of your own words, identify the overall topic of Reiner's essay (this is different from the thesis/primary argument) Author's stance:  Offer one or two sentences identifying Reiner's thesis/argument Opposing stance:  Offer one or two sentences that present an oppositional perspective Common ground:  In approximately one paragraph, describe how you would respectfully share your perspective on the reading with someone who disagrees with you on the topic.
