Following a government directive, schools in Baltimore Cityclosed down. However, to ensure that learners did not lag, as far as their education is concerned,this city embraced different strategies to ensure that learners engaged in learning while at home● Problem Statement- Several Baltimore City elementary school students have experienced difficultywith participation in remote instruction due to a lack of resources provided by the Baltimore CityPublic School System.● Brief Elaboration- The relations emanating from social interactions are critical to students.Sadly, Covid-19 has forced students and teachers from Baltimore City to communicatethrough technology-abled gadgets. While many applauded online learning, it is evident that this strategy limits social interactionsand as a result, contributes to social isolation. Without access to a physical relationship with their teachers and friends, students lack thesupportthey require to excel academically Many students do not have access to the technology required by remote learning unless itis being provided by the school● Population Affected -Elementary school students and families in urban areas● Describe the characteristic of the community that make it vulnerable to this problem andthe strengths that give the community resilience and the potential for overcoming the problem.● Low income families● Immigrant families● Elementary school students with serious underlying medical conditions.● Children from racial and ethnic minority groups
