INSTRUCTIONS:
In this essay, write about the struggles of being Hispanic and coming to USA at a very young age and being scared of not fitting in and being accepted from other people. I came to America in 2009 and all my life I felt like I didn't belong because I wasn't the same as "Americans" just because I did not look like them and was darker skin color than them. It took a lot of time for me to adjust in this country because I knew this is where I was going to stay. My parents always told me that things will get better but it wasn't an easy journey. When I came to this country I did not know English at all. It was a hard struggle trying to learn the language and adapt to the community at the same, especially when I was 9 years old and kids my age already knew the language, etc. It was hard being the new kid because everyone had their friends so no one wanted to be friends with the girl who didn't know english and didn't fit in easily. But with time and struggle, I learned english and started realizing what is best for me and not to make others happy that can't help me when I am struggling. Coming to America was a hard struggle but I learned alot of life lessons from it, that with struggle you can accomplish everything. This is basically a summary of what you can write about in the essay but the main topic is being a Hispanic child coming to America when I was 9 years old.
