Topic:                          The community service event in Baltimore City

General Purpose:         Encouragement and awareness

Specific Purpose:        To mentor young children by instilling a sense of self-esteem, creating awareness and demonstrating to them various lifestyle behaviors that will make their lives more fruitful.

Thesis:                         For a while now, most children in Baltimore City have faced challenges pursuing their education due to lack of consistent mentorship. Based on this fact, this speech aims at promoting awareness to the children concerning their rights and motivation.

Attention Getter: Harper Lee, a famous author for children encouragement quotes once said “As you grow up, always tell the truth, do no harm to others, and don’t think you are the most important being on earth. Rich or poor, you then can look anyone in the eye and say, “I’m probably no better than you, but I’m certainly your equal.” I call you on the same grounds to hear me out.
