What is self from a Meadian perspective. (a) We talk of “self” as both structure and process. How is this so? (b) What are the relevant structures and processes? (c) Given all of this, from your perspective, where does the individual come into the mix? 5. Sociologists argue that emotions are intensely personal and, at the same time, inherently social. How is this possible? Explain this apparent contradiction and illustrate your explanation with a brief example.
