According to (McArdle 6), writing is not a one-off event but a process which is surrounded by learning new ideas every time someone is assigned a writing task. It is very important for the writer to pay attention to the instructions given in a writing assignment which encompasses the number of pages required, the format and the deadline for assignment submission among others. Academic learning equips students, and other writers with skills like generating ideas and arranging them logically, proper use of vocabulary and grammar which improves their writing skills, however, practical application of skills learnt in class perfect their use in writing.
At the start of this ending semester, I could not write an excellent essay since my I lacked a smooth and logical flow of thoughts. During the semester our teacher taught us some skills required in academic writing some of which included how to generate ideas related to the topic of discussion and logically arranging them.
