Self-Care and Mindfulness in Everyday Life
To me, self-care means things that I do to take care of myself, despite being faced by different life aspects. In this case, self-care becomes number one in my life because, if I do not mind about my welfare, no one else will. In relation to mindfulness, it means the ability to be in the right line of thought to make my life better (Friedman, 2017). I have to improve my mental well-being by positively interacting with the right people and promoting emotional growth.
I incorporate self-care and mindfulness in many ways in my life. First, I use mindfulness by living in the moment. In understanding that despite being focused into the future I do not have to worry a lot of what will happen in the future. I always try to focus on what is happening now and doing my best to boost my mindfulness. This way, I can manage to keep my mind at peace and focus on my education and other social affairs.
