RETAKING A COURSE AT A COLLAGE

Learning is among life issues that require a second chance (Nelson, 2010). Retaking a course gives a learner an opportunity to raise grade point average (GPA), boost performance for failed grades, and most importantly, improve the confidence in the understanding of the content learned over a period of time. My experience was during the last summer when I managed an “NC” (No credit) in one of the units.  I was devastated by the poor results and committed myself to do anything possible to rectify the situation and avoid such performance in future. During that semester, I faced several challenges that contributed to poor performance.

First, the learning environment was not particularly conducive for me, and I experiences difficulty trying to adapt. At the time, my family was not financially stable which inhibited my concentration.
