Red Scare/ Soviet Union Threat

The threat posed by the Soviet Union and her allies was significantly genuine, considering that they had acquired nuclear war equipment and had a powerful influence on communism.  Some of the popular Soviet Union and allies’ members were Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, as well as Romania, who were highly feared due to their possession of modern war tools. Additionally, the United States and the Soviet Union have been enemies for a long, and any threat would be perceived with extra seriousness. Additionally, the Soviet Union's threats had to be considered genuinely because of the increased spread and popularity of the Soviet communism and Stalin's totalitarian rule. As a result of diversity in political differences and governance ideologies, the United States saw an imminent threat to its systems due to the communists' popularity within the Soviet Union (Nincic). Hence, the nature of threats depicted by the Soviet Union towards Americans can be considered rather critical and genuine, mostly considering that they had been enemies for long.
