Manjoo central thesis revolves around the growing concerns for twitter as a rapidly transforming communication platform. Twitter has presented the twitterers with an avenue through which they can display to the world various aspects regarding their lives. One can communicate to the world about their where they are planning to travel, what they ate for dinner, and what they read in the papers. However, Farhad Manjoo feels that Twitter is a "fad" and highly overhyped as it does not seem to address any tangible aspect affecting the public.
