Is this a society viewpoint of what occurs for African American sports athletes who protest in the United States? 2) How would you define the social construction of race as related to the social construction of sports and the impacts to African American and African American athletes in the United States? 3) Does the social construction of sports apply to racism in the same way that the social construction of race applies to subordinate group members in the United States? 4) Is race and racism a societal and institutional phenomenon, or a personal, individual mindset? Perhaps both? Or, nope, none at all. Racism is systematic! 5) How can people with privilege affect racism in society and the sports world in ways athletes without privilege cannot? 6) And, more importantly, how can all people work collectively to address issues of race, racism, and privilege in the United States and in the sports world? 7) Is your perspective related, or not related, to Race in America and race and sports social protests that we are currently experiencing across America? Law enforcement should not be blamed.
