1. Choose a fictional character from popular media compare and contrast at least 2 theories of lifespan development in terms of the character’s development.  Explain the theories, and whether or not the character’s behavior is consistent with those theories.  Use examples from the source material and scientific sources to support your claims.  If the character’s behavior is inconsistent with the theories you chose try to come up with reasons as to why that may be. Examples of theories: Psychoanalytic theory (Sigmund Freud), Psychosocial theory (Erik Erikson), Jean Piaget’s theory of cognitive development, Vygotsky’s theory of cognitive development, Information-processing theory, Ecological systems model, Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, theories of moral development.
