technology has seen the improvement in health care service by using handheld
devices by health care gurus in accessing decision support, consultation
service, and professional communication. However, violation of patients'
privacy rights, such as insecure data storage and failure to obtain patients'
consent when capturing and sharing their personal information are inherent. To
protect personal information privacy, the national government has furnished
health care professionals with laws, regulations, and security standards to
govern their use of handheld devices in their professional duties.
The use of mobile handheld in capturing patients' personal health information interferes with such information's privacy because it can land into the wrong hands either intentionally or accidentally. The health care professional may opt to share the patients' medical information with their colleagues for other reasons others than for medical purposes because they have sole control of the access to the device and its content (Wager, Lee $ Glaser,2013).
