INSTRUCTIONS:
1.) Find a case study that involves a firm or organization practicing either indirect or direct price discrimination. The issue of price discrimination need not be the central focus of the case, but it should be an essential focus of the company’s pricing strategy. 2.) Describe your example and whether the pricing strategy exemplifies direct or indirect price discrimination. Specifically, how does the pricing strategy work, and why is it profitable? Explain. 3.) Research your example firm’s closest competitor. What is that rival’s pricing policy? Does it do the same thing or something different? Explain the economic reasons for any similarities or differences. Your submission should consist of 1-2 pages in APA format. What matters for grading is your analysis. Hence, tables, charts, and figures do not count against your page total or your references page. Unless vital to your story, you should relegate supporting tables, charges, and figures to the appendix. It is essential to cite reputable and scholarly sources. For economics, business, and statistical reasoning, you should cite the textbook or other similar sources. It is vital to avoid referring to study sites such as investopedia.com, economicshelp.com, thebalance.com, or anything similar. Those sites are poor substitutes for the text and scholarly sources.
