There are different sexual assault incidents, including; sexual misconduct, sexual touching, stalking, sexual harassment, bullying or peer victimization, physical abuse, and relationship/dating/domestic violence. Rape is often an uncomfortable topic in society; some victims are reluctant to report the issue. It should also be noted that rape also happens within family circles, so investigations on reported cases should be thoroughly done. Officers must deal with rape cases with utmost diligence. Once reported, the officers should be quick to act and start collecting evidence because if 72 hours elapse, collecting the evidence may be difficult.
