 * Nice Truck Ramming Attack (2016) 
 Cybersecurity Measures: • The Sony Pictures Entertainment Hack (2014) • Sands Hotel/Casino Attack (2014) • “Shamoon” attack on Saudi Aramco Oil Company (2012) • Ukraine Electrical Grid Attack (2015) • “Grizzly Steppe” Attack on US Election Infrastructure (2016) For your event, collect articles and reports detailing what happened... * You should have a minimum of 5 (preferably about 7) sources 
 * At least two of the reports should be from EITHER a government, a think tank, or a major corporation 
• (search for your terms + filetype:pdf in Google) 
 * These documents should enable you to get a sense of the timeline of the event, the protective measures in place, the response, and the discussion afterwards about “what went wrong” in enabling the attacks to be successful 
 * You should be an expert on this event 
 Based on the three documents you have now and any additional needed research 2 pages: • Assess how effective the attackers were • Not just whether or not the attack happened, but... * Capability: Were they well trained? Well organized? Was the event well planned? 
 * Intent: Was this the targeting they wanted? Did it go according to plan? What were the intended outcomes/goals? 
• Compare this attack to SIMILAR attacks
• Attacks by the same group
• Attacks on the same kind of infrastructure/organization
• Attacks targeting similar vulnerabilities or targets
• Attacks in the same country (physical generally) or industry (cyber generally) 
 Based on the documents you have now and any additional needed research 1-2 pages: • Assess how effective the security measures in place were • Since the attacks happened, they weren’t perfect
• What loopholes/problems did the attackers exploit?
• What did defenders do wrong? • What measures were missing or incomplete? • Offer up three suggestions to improve security that might have an impact on a similar kind of attack in the future CITE!!!
