Personal History Statement
I
have been raised around a family of political enthusiasts with both my parents
being Political Analysts; therefore this has resulted in my interest in
pursuing the same academic and professional field. I am interested in joining
the University of New York so that I can attain a place to study the Political
Science course this is because of my enhanced attention to the facts
surrounding the course. A degree in political science paves the way for my
access to a wide range of options regarding career opportunities. Besides, my
parents representing my most significant source of motivation for pursuing the
course on my own accord I have conducted extensive research on the fundamentals
surrounding political science. I realize that by studying political science as
my undergraduate, I will cover topics of interest such as politics and law,
government and politics, and so on.
The
pursuance of political science will introduce me to different new areas, for
instance, international law, political theory, and so on; thus this will enable
me to flourish my knowledge and understanding regarding the course. During my
research on the course, I sourced documents that highlighted the background and
relevance of political science. Further, after reading one of the most
significant books on political science, ‘The
Clash of Civilization’ by Samuel Huntington, my interest in the course was
further deepened. For that reason, I intend to build on my awareness of the
different elements of political science. I am hoping to attain and achieve the
best education at the University of New York where I can also be able to
contribute and add to the diversity of the school. An undergraduate in
political science will help me in deciding on the influence and shape the
society due to increased participation in debates.
My strong academic records in my high school education will provide me with the best foundation to excel in political science.
