Introduction

a.       Over the past decade, the world has witnessed a constant increase in the average global temperature at the fastest rate in recorded history. In reality, the globe is heating up. Today, the global surrounding is warmer now than it was in 1880 when record-keeping began, and the global temperatures are on a constant rise (Pappas, 2017).

b.      The general questions include:

·         What is global warming? (Shao et al., 2014).

·         How can global warming be mitigated?

·         How can global awareness of global warming be created?

c.       The purpose of this literature review is to get a better understanding of the issues and facts of global warming and learn more about the measures in place to mitigate this global threat.
