Othello

Othello is an African descent, and an army general he is an influential figure thus being well acknowledged in the society, but he is discriminated as per his color and origin most notably by the members in the armed forces. Consequently, Othello falls in love and elopes with Desdemona, eventually they get married, however during the Turks war; Othello is deceived by Iago into believing Desdemona committed adultery. In consequence, Iago manipulates his mind through insubstantial circumstantial evidence. Finally, Othello kills Desdemona only to realize she was faithful to him. In despair, Othello kills himself (Shakespeare: Othello).

Firstly, Othello denies Iago, the role of a lieutenant. Eventually, he runs away with Desdemona. Further, Iago out of revenge entraps Othello by convincing him during the Turks war his wife committed adultery with Cassio, his lieutenant. Iago using well-crafted lies tells Othello, how Cassio was boasting about sleeping with Desdemona. To prove his point Iago tells Othello, Cassio is in possession of Desdemona’s handkerchief (Shakespeare: Othello).  Further, Iago organizes for Othello to overhear him and Bianca have a conversation about Cassio. This circumstantial evidence was all that Othello needed to kill Desdemona. As a result, Othello justifies his deed that he killed her so that she could not hurt more men.
