Operator’s Manual: Human Factors in Aviation Maintenance.

The selected material was developed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to promote operators' safety. The manual has a key focus on maintenance and engineering personnel and how they can remain safe during the performance of their duty. The manual also offers a comprehensive outline of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), technical aspects, and challenges during operations. This report discusses how students in this field can utilize some Operator’s Manual elements during their daily activites.

The first aspect that students can use from the Operator's Manual is the prospect of training and how it plays a part as a critical human factor. In daily students' lives, training carries the largest percentage of time spent in industrial placements, mainly to ensure students get a grip on the industrial procedures and conduct needed to boost quality and, most importantly, ensure workers are safe. According to Federal Aviation Administration (2014), human factor training is a mandatory expectation that aims to ensure all human resources are secure, either from their own conduct or from others' behavior within a facility.
