Introduction

I have chosen to write about the O.J. Simpson case because it was one of the most controversial rulings. Murder is among capital offenses in any country. Instances of murder are treated with ultimate thoroughness and precision to ensure justice for the offended party is attained. The reason for having extra seriousness in murder cases is to avoid future occurrences of killing people by the same perpetrators. Additionally, investigations entailing murders are more thorough due to the burden of proof that prosecutors have to meet before a suspect can be sentenced. Such as the case involved O.J. Simpson. O.J, in full, Orenthal James Simpson, was an NFL player, an actor as well as a broadcaster. The controversial point raised during the investigation revolves around the intent of killing Nicole and her friends despite being separated for a long time. Preliminary evidence placed Simpson at the scene of the crime, but Through his layer, Simpson kept denying his involvement with the crime. When Simpson was given an opportunity to address the court regarding his association with the crime, he indicated that "I did not, could not and would not have committed this crime." (Case proceedings; September 22, 1995). In this statement, Simpson was trying to prove that he had nothing to do with the...
