In addition to an obese person being susceptible to chronic diseases has a wait size of above 35-45 and a BMI of 25-30 or more. Obesity has been portrayed as a public health risk across the nation because if it causes enormous destruction of body cells and eventually, death occurs. Besides, obesity weakens one's immunity and makes their bodies prone to ailments like high blood pressure, depression, and liver disease, among others. Community heath through organized effort of all players has greatly fought obesity challenge in the United Kingdom and the world at large.

Obesity is a pandemic and is affecting public health budgets. Research has shown that adults are the population segment that is more prone to obesity because they are likely to be less employed, sometimes discriminated, and henceforth risking hospitalization. Obesity is classified among the disorders that contribute to public health issues because it facilitates the contraction of other diseases like the reduced quality of life. Obesity is posing a challenge not only to the United Kingdom but other regions of the world lie America and the developing world because it facilitates other disorders which are costly to contain due to financial constraints.
