Taking this course has been very beneficial regarding healthy eating habits, exercise, and most importantly enabling me to apply the lesson learnt in the real-life scenarios. Through my lecturer and course reading materials, I have acquired many exciting concepts that, with no doubt, I would not have learnt in the absence of this opportunity. First, According to Clark (4), eating should be an accomplishment of “high-energy eating plan” rather than a plan that aims at making one feel satisfied without critical consideration on the nature of diet taken. Taking the right combination of food play a significant role in ensuring disease resistance within a human body and therefore, the focus should be maintained on the foods that can offer high levels of energy and at the same time, the diet that contains the necessary components to facilitate body growth.

Secondly, I have learnt that eating does not just comprise the quantity we take but quality comes in handy in ensuring we are strong enough to take part in athletics and other complicated exercises. In this regard, Clark (15) argues that one should have a winning plan that is appropriately considerate of different times during the day when one should take the meals. For example, Clark cites that it is paramount to distribute our meals into about four times in a day. Besides, one should “not just eat, but eat right” indicating that how one eats and what they eat is important in their health. This knowledge was very beneficial to me since I used to eat without a proper plan and with no considerations to “eating right. I will apply this knowledge in my daily food plan to ensure a right diet, and consequently a healthy lifestyle.
