Neil Gaiman

INSTRUCTIONS:

Please watch Neil Gaiman's argument about reading and libraries and respond to it in at least two double-spaced pages. What, according to Gaiman, are the two uses of fiction? Do you agree with his points on literature and children? Why or why not? How well does he prove his points? Can you think of any works that we read this semester that prove or disprove his claim? Video is 26 minutes long. Questions are related to the video. Here is the video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNIUWv9_ZH0&feature=emb_logo These are the stories if you want to reference the last question. I don't think it's necessary but if you can it will be great. Neil Gaiman - "October in the Chair" Murphy - "Rachel in Love" George R. R. Martin - "The Way of Cross and Dragon" Russ - "Souls" Butler - "Bloodchild" Ellison - "Jeffty Is Five"
