One of the most influential determinants of the future of any nation is the quality of the education provided to its citizenry, especially the young people. The quality of education influences people's perspectives and attitudes because of the values and virtues instilled in learners while acquiring education. According to John Dewey, educational institutions play a vital role in influencing students' perception of various societal, political, and economic issues since they are similar to the external social environment. In addition, schools provide a natural setting for students to learn critical theoretical concepts that they can later apply in society. Renowned researchers also assert that certain moral principles can be used in schools to create moral communities to improve students' lives and learning within the education system. To build a learning environment that enables students to develop as moral persons prepared to contribute to a better society, schools must adopt ethical principles of inclusion, justice, empowerment, and trust.

The first moral principle, which is integral in making students moral persons, is inclusion. According to Glickman et al. (2018), the principle of inclusion entails involving all stakeholders that play any role in the school system. Inclusive education offers high-quality education to all students and is significant in changing discriminatory attitudes. Moreover, it eliminates discrimination against the marginalized student population. The principle also enables educational institutions to provide a context for students' initial relationships with the outside world. Through this, students develop positive interactions and social connections that influence their morality (Glickman et al., 2018). Besides, inclusive education increases understanding and respect among students of diverse backgrounds as they learn, socialize, and play together. Generally, when education is inclusive, the concepts of community life make students moral people.

The moral principle of justice is also vital in enhancing students' morality. The principle promotes moral behavior among students because it eliminates social oppression among students, teachers, and other stakeholders (Glickman et al., 2018). Besides, the principle influences the moral aspect of sharing among students. Justice involves the regulations that control the distribution of social resources to groups or individuals in various social spheres. Education as a highly valued and socially constructed sphere is a unique justice aspect. Specific principles of justice guide the distribution of symbolic, relational, and instrumental goods among students. Through this, students learn the significance of sharing (Glickman et al., 2018). The principle of justice also derives from the moral infrastructure of the society in which norms about wrong and right are structured, and students are instructed to behave accordingly. Therefore, the principle of justice is a crucial aspect of students’ morals and ethics.
