Philosophers play a significant role in contributing to the body of knowledge and giving an insight into different phenomena by challenging what is considered to common sense and examining the old ways of thinking. Thinkers are scholarly persons who are intellectual and contemplates every choice at great depth. Different thinkers exist in different periods and contributed to the body of knowledge differently. Examples of such modern thinkers are Karl Marx and Cornel West their philosophical work is discussed in this paper.
