INSTRUCTIONS:

Pick either compatibilism or minimal libertarianism and explain it in your own words. Your explanation should be clear, detailed, and accurate and capture the main idea(s) of the theory. You should also explain why the theory is significant.

In addition, you should provide a clear example that illustrates to the reader the relevance of the theory. Your example needs to be realistic, and you need to come up with it on your own. You will also need to explain how your example illustrates the theory, in detail and with clarity.

Finally, explain and evaluate what you take to be the strongest argument in favor of the position based on class discussion. Your explanation should be clear, detailed, and accurate, capturing the main idea(s) of the argument. Your evaluation should include a detailed and clear assessment of the truth of the argument's premises and the quality of the reasoning.

Since you are explaining and illustrating the position in your own words, be careful to avoid wording that sounds too much like the material in the module or any other source. Your writing will be checked automatically for plagiarism, and you will receive a 0 for the assignment and be turned in for violating the school's honor policy if you plagiarize.

The main tenets of minimal Libertarianism are freedom of choice, free association, voluntary association and individualism. Libertarianism perceives individuals as the starting point of socialization. Human beings have the freedom to make choices and take responsibility. Further, minimal Libertarianism acknowledges that individuals are agents of morality. Humans have the right to life, property and liberty. Acknowledge that the above-mentioned right is in place in accordance with the nature of human beings and not granted by society or by the government.

The theory of minimal Libertarianism is significant in that it informs humans' principles...
