During this multinational collective training supported by the Americans, a contingent of approximately 100 Canadian soldiers were deployed to take part in the exercise in Bulgaria. The case study will focus more specifically on the death of Bombardier Patrick Labrie which occurred during a night parachute jump. The low altitude jump was fatal for the Canadian serviceman and one of his colleagues was also injured. Two American soldiers were also reported dead.
