Our understanding of mental illness has taken us through a journey that included such explanations as spirit possession and witchcraft, the position of the moon and planets, the volume of body fluids, and brain disease.  We now see mental-health disorders as a combination of cognitive-behavioral, emotional, and social factors that can affect a wide array of people across a wide range of experiences.   How do you see the relevance of psychology to nursing and healthcare practice?
